The price of this palette is $42.00 and contains fourteen eyeshadows, as well as a mirror. The colors to this palette are very soft and mostly natural and work really well together. This palette is good for any age range, in my opinion. The palette contains matte, duo-chrome, and metallic eyeshadows, and is definitely pigmented. The only issue I had was that it was a little too pigmented, and it was a little dusty. So I had to tap my brush off when using some of the eyeshadows, or else I would end up putting much more shadow than I originally wanted on my eyelid. I personally would say that this has a similar formula to Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Modern Renaissance palette. Overall, I really like it. I think it something that anyone could wear anytime, and I think that this is probably one of the better palettes to come out this year so far.
This palette was released on Sephora today for the price of $42.00. It looks really pretty, but I do not plan on getting it. The reason why is that I feel like the color range between the two palettes, the Tartelette Toasted palette and Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Palette, shown below, look so similar that it would be a waste of money for me to buy this palette. I just feel like Tarte cosmetics really lacks variety when it comes to their makeup, unlike other companies. Don’t let me stop you from getting this if you like it; all I am saying is that a lot of the Tarte eyeshadows look really similar in my opinion.
I would first like to say that this palette is definitely… petite. I suppose this could be beneficial because the way that it is designed, you can easily put it in your purse if you were ever interested in taking an eyeshadow palette with you on the go. However, for $30 I would expect a lot bigger eye shadow pans. The color combination is excellent, and it appears that the four top rows are matte, while the four bottom rows are metallic. The pigment is pretty good but not the best that I have tried. I found myself have to spray my brush prior to applying these eyeshadows, and a couple of them it seems like you would need to apply multiple layers for decent pigment.
The eyeshadows were a little bit on the chalky side, but there didn’t seem to be any fallout, and it was long lasting. I just personally prefer eyeshadows with a more buttery texture. I think that this palette would be really good for people that are working professionals especially because the colors and the formula make it so that it is nice, but not too overpowering on the eyes. Overall I like this palette. It is not my favorite, but it is fairly good palette.
