Clarisonic Sonic Foundation Brush Head

This is a product that can be attached to a Clarisonic face brush. The product is meant to spin at a fast rate and act like a brush to blend in foundation, primer, concealer, contour, and other liquid products. I found that when using this product, my foundation was quite streaky. So I ended up having to use a beauty blender to fix it, making it sort of pointless for the foundation. I then used a thick cream contour and concealer. This gave the most beautiful, blended out, highlight and contour in my life, and it also made it way more quicker for me to highlight and contour. So I am definitely glad that I bought this at least for the highlight and contour because I cannot understate how nice and natural the contour blended out. I am a bit unhappy that it did not turn out as well for the foundation. I think that the reason for this was that the foundation was a more liquid product and the contour and concealer are more creamy products. So I believe this product would work better for more creamy products.

How to Wear Matte Lipsticks

  1. Make sure your lips are exfoliated. You can use a lip scrub or a clean toothbrush with some vaseline to do this. Uneven texture is more apparent with matte lipsticks.
  2. Moisturize beforehand. This will prevent the matte lipstick from looking dry and cracked on your lips. This can be done with a lip balm or oil.
  3. Apply a lip primer to prevent the product from bleeding. This will also make the product last longer.
  4. Use a lip liner to make lips more defined. Applying concealer around the edges of the lips can also make your lips look more clean and defined.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Review

The company describes this foundation as having a satin finish, but I have seen a lot of other reviewers that claim it is more on the matte side. I, however, personally see that my skin has more of a glow when using this product. It is recommended for people with dry to normal skin.  The company also states that this foundation has certain properties to help moisturize, even out skin tone, and brighten the skin.

I would definitely not recommend this for people who want full coverage foundation, and maybe it is not best for people who truly want sheer foundation either as it does give a fair amount of coverage but just not full coverage. The range is 20 shades, and the price is $47.00 for 1 ounce of product. One major drawback is that the product does not come with a pump. It is a very liquidy foundation, so it is easy to blend. So overall this is not the best foundation I have tried, but it is a fairly good foundation.

Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme

This is a clear lip gloss that is meant to plump up your lips. The price for this is $28.00. The main ingredient appears to be derived from chili peppers, and it also contains avocado oil and vitamin E for a hydrating effect. It did make my lips look bigger, but  also bright red. It also made the area surrounding my lips look inflamed and bright red too. I do think it is hydrating, but overall I think it is a mediocre product for 28 dollars and just 0.14 ounces.  I would not wear this out in public because it makes my lips look like they are inflamed, and I don’t see this as being very attractive looking. So I just use it up when I am not going out because at least the product does stimulate blood flow, which I have read helps to product more collagen. There are many products on the market like this, as well as do-it-yourself recipes, so I personally would not repurchase this. The ratings for this product overall, on Macy’s, Sephora, and Ulta also seemed to be pretty mediocre. I still think Too Faced is a fairly good brand overall.

The Thing that I Have Learned about Makeup

What I have learned about makeup is that quality is more important than quantity. I have bought a lot of mediocre products that I am just using up to try and get rid of, when I could have used that money to buy a few quality products instead. As someone who likes makeup, I used to often buy makeup on impulse, but now I am really picky about what I buy, and I always make sure to read reviews. I don’t want to waste my money by falling for the hype or buying impulsively.

Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation Review

This is definitely a full coverage foundation and it is more on the matte side. The price is $40.00 for one ounce, but I would say a little goes a long way with this product. I really like how it is full coverage, but there are two major drawbacks. One is that it oxidizes a little, and I found this no matter what primer I used. A lot of other people have said the same thing. So you might want to consider getting a shade or two lighter than what you would normally get if you buy this. The other is that it enhanced my pores and skin texture, which I really did not like. It overall was nice looking from a distance, but close up it looked really cakey. It took me forever to fix this.

If you wear this foundation and you have dry skin, I would definitely recommend using a lot of face moisturizer before using this. I think overall, this product would be better for people with normal to oily skin because it is matte and a bit drying. Since it is such a hassle to use, I will likely not repurchase this product again, especially for the price that it is.

Lancer Caviar Lime Acid Peel Review

This product has a 4.7/5.0 review on Sephora, and I definitely think that it is worth that rating. I have read on the Lancer website that Dr. Lancer, the founder of this company, is Kim Kardashian’s dermatologist. I think I can see why since his products are really good. I personally feel that overall, this is an underhyped brand. I have tried multiple products from this line and I felt like almost all of them were excellent, and I generally don’t feel that way about a lot of brands.

The Lancer Caviar Lime Acid Peel is a facial peel that can be left on for ten minutes to an hour. It contains 10 percent glycolic acid to exfoliate dead skin cells, as well as 10 percent phytic acid, which helps to brighten the face, improve skin tone, and improve and the look of pores. It also contains caviar lime, a fruit native to Australia, and a naturally powerful alpha hydroxy acid. So far I have only tried it once, and I saw a significant diminish in discoloration, and my skin overall became smoother and brighter. The company recommends that when using this product, you should avoid the sun or wear sunscreen.

Overall, I definitely think that when I get a chance I will look at more of the Lancer products, and I will probably repurchase this one once I run out. The price is $90.00, but since you are only supposed to use it maximum twice a week, I think it would last at least several months.
