This is a product that is “shown to improve face contour, tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.” I don’t really have significant fine lines or wrinkles, but I did want to tone and tighten up my face and this really made a difference for me. My face was a lot tighter, lifted, and I noticed my eyebrows were more lifted as well. I looked much younger and slimmer. The product uses “microcurrent technology” so it can definitely be a little painful to use, and I would be wary of using this type of device if you have any medical conditions. The biggest downside is the price. The cost is $199.00, but it is definitely worth it in my opinion.
The price of this palette is $42.00 and contains fourteen eyeshadows, as well as a mirror. The colors to this palette are very soft and mostly natural and work really well together. This palette is good for any age range, in my opinion. The palette contains matte, duo-chrome, and metallic eyeshadows, and is definitely pigmented. The only issue I had was that it was a little too pigmented, and it was a little dusty. So I had to tap my brush off when using some of the eyeshadows, or else I would end up putting much more shadow than I originally wanted on my eyelid. I personally would say that this has a similar formula to Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Modern Renaissance palette. Overall, I really like it. I think it something that anyone could wear anytime, and I think that this is probably one of the better palettes to come out this year so far.
I don’t know if I will purchase all of these products, but I have definitely had my eye on them since I am a makeup lover. Two new releases have come out from Anastasia Beverly Hills that I am excited about which are the following:
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eye Shadow Palette comes in 14 shades, that are “ultra-matte, duo chrome, and metallic finishes.” This palette looks friendly for all ages, and so far there seems to have only good reviews.
The next product that I am really interested in is also by Anastasia Beverly Hills, and it is the Amrezy highlighter. The packaging to this product is absolutely beautiful, and is allegedly a “universal shade” highlighter. I have seen a lot of people try this highlighter on YouTube and again so far I have seen only really positive reviews.
Then there is the Kylie Cosmetic’s Weather Collection. There is a lot in this collection, but some of the products seem pretty generic, and also some of it just is personally not the type of makeup I like (for example, there appears to be black lipstick as a part of the collection). I didn’t want the whole collection, the only things that I was interested in were the “Calm Before the Storm” palette, which I bought, as well as the Flash Gloss, which is currently sold out. But there were also a lot of other products released in this collection, including two eyeshadow palettes, a highlighting palette, lipsticks, gloss, eye glitter, eye liner, and individual highlighters.
Some of Kylie’s products have had really positive reviews while other products have had negative reviews so you might want to look up reviews before buying if you are interested.
The only other thing that I am interested in possibly is there have been three new palettes added to the Mac Girls collection, which look a lot more pigmented than the previous palettes in this collection. The three new palettes are called “Classic Cutie,” “Risk Taker,” and “Qween Supreme.” I will probably wait for reviews on these palettes before buying because overall they do look like they are of improved quality than the last palettes in this collection, but I just want to make sure I am getting something worth the money, and the last palette I got from this collection I felt was definitely not worth the money in my opinion. So hopefully they have changed the formula and quality for their newest releases.
I want to first mention that I would be careful using this product if you are currently having problems with acne or sensitive skin. I used to have breakouts and this product aggravated it. In addition, I have read online that it contains some citric ingredients that may be irritating to sensitive skin. Other detriments to this product, are that it claims to be fragrance free but contains fragrances and that it also contains blue dye. Once I took care of my breakouts, I personally found myself really liking this product. According to the company it is a retinol that “boosts the look and feel of skin plumpness, while improving the appearance of wrinkles, redness, and pores.” I personally would have to agree with all of these statements. It is meant to be used at night because if you go out in the daytime while using this product, the sunlight could harm your skin. However, 1 oz is $105.00, and I cannot justify the cost especially with products on the market that costs way less. So my overall opinion, is that this product is good, but a little overhyped and possibly not worth the money. I might try this product again, but first I want to try other skincare brands, such as The Ordinary, which is much cheaper, and see how they compare. If you want to try this for yourself without paying the full price, sometimes Sephora offers variety packages that will include this product, or you might be able to pick one up as a sample.
This palette was released on Sephora today for the price of $42.00. It looks really pretty, but I do not plan on getting it. The reason why is that I feel like the color range between the two palettes, the Tartelette Toasted palette and Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Palette, shown below, look so similar that it would be a waste of money for me to buy this palette. I just feel like Tarte cosmetics really lacks variety when it comes to their makeup, unlike other companies. Don’t let me stop you from getting this if you like it; all I am saying is that a lot of the Tarte eyeshadows look really similar in my opinion.
I personally must say I am ambivalent about this product. There are currently three shades to the glitter drops collection, and I received a sample in the color “Mirage,” which the describe as a “gold champagne.” The first thing I noticed was that it was difficult to blend out evenly. I have tried multiple ways of blending this out, including dabbing it with my finger, using a brush, and using a beauty blender. It was very hard for me to get the product to blend out evenly. The second thing I noticed was that it amplified the texture on my nose. The third thing is that it was hard to blend into the surrounding foundation so it just really stood out on the face. However, if you get the product to work for you, I would have to say it is really pretty. I would recommend putting the highlighter on first and then your blush and bronzer after because it will cover up your brush and bronzer completely. I would also probably not use this with a matte foundation because it will stand out so much. I think this would look really nice with a dewy, full coverage look. Finally, I don’t think it would be the best for older women or for someone to wear to work just because this makeup is so dramatic. So overall, I don’t think I would buy this product, especially since I had such a hard time blending it out.
My favorite brand overall for choosing hair products is the brand “It’s A 10.” Their products can be found in drugstores, grocery stores, at Ulta, and they also have their own homepage, where you can shop for products. I have tried five different products from this brand and have liked all of them. I personally suffer from dry, curly, frizzy hair, so I have always had a hard time finding products that I felt were good for me. I noticed a significant difference in the health of my hair after using their shampoo and conditioner. My hair seemed thicker, shinier, and more hydrated. Their Miracle Repair Hair Mask is one of my favorite hair masks on the market. I would not say that it is the best at hydrating hair, but it is very very good at repairing hair and strengthening hair follicles. It also added considerable amount of shine, and I also believe it helps with dandruff as well. They also have a leave-in conditioner that I have been using for about 10 years. The leave-in conditioner I buy contains keratin, which helps to strengthen the hair. I am definitely interested in trying more of their products, and would recommend this hair care line for anyone suffering from dry, damaged, or frizzy hair.
